Although I've always thought photo vests looked cool, when I first got into photography back in the late 1970s, I decided against buying one.

For one thing, most commercially made vests only come in standard sizes of S-M-L or perhaps XL, and most pre-made vests come with standard sized pockets that don't expand very well to fit real world photo equipment. As a result, most photography vests make the wearer look "Artsy", but they don't provide much in the way of real usefulness.

As a dimensionally challenged individual, buying off the rack garments most times doesn't work for me. So, having a custom sized vest sounded like a good idea. But along with that, what I really needed was a Photo Vest that securely carried my expensive photo gear. And, Oh By The Way... Yes, I still wanted to look cool too!

Well, to make a long story very short, somewhere around 1990, I ended up buying a custom made Photo Vest from The Vested Interest and I've been happily using it for nearly 20 years.

New Technology

With the advent of digital photography however, all of my photo equipment changed over night and the photo vest that I've come to rely on for all these years, needed some updating too.

Bigger, longer lenses meant that some of the old vest's pockets were a little small and needed to be resized and shaped. Naturally, I went back to the Vested Interest Company for help.
